A discussion forum is essentially an online space for facilitating exchanges between faculty and students and among students. Prompts can be posted by an instructor to solicit student responses on particular topics or questions. Students can post questions related to class-related materials or homework. These exchanges encourage collaboration, extend communication, and harness group knowledge.
